My client is a multi-disciplined, cash rich, well known sub-contractor who are currently turning over £60M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (waste water and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent and on the south coast (this role will be based in Brighton).

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain their family feel atmosphere where it’s a fun working environment and everyone is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs across multiple projects, ensuring each is profitable. The projects that you will be involved in will be working on NEC contracts within waste water & clean water, with all the works being high volume, low cost work.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £35,000–£45,000 + company car/car allowance.

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial management or Quantity Surveying.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company. Your work history should be stable; ideally you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years, ideally within water.

You will undertake general surveying of projects as required, which will include reviewing and pricing variations and preparing valuations for the respective Project Manager and Commercial Manager.

The role is a permanent position. No freelancers can be considered.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
