Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is a small community hospital trust. So it is possible for this new role to provide an ideal opportunity for a pharmacy technician to broaden their hospital pharmacy skills in the field of the pharmacy information technology and medicines procurement, yet still maintain their clinical skills.

The post holder will be an integral member of the SCFT Medicines Management Team and act as the deputy to the Pharmacy Dispensary Manager. Initially the position involves taking a key role ensuring the SCFT pharmacy management and stock control system is set up and ready for use.

Once established, the main duties of the postholder are to be responsible for the day to day operational management of the pharmacy IT and medicines procurement service. The postholder will also have the opportunity to maintain their dispensing and clinical skills to support the delivery of a range of services.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will be registered with the GPhC and have experience as a hospital pharmacy technician. The post is based at Crawley Hospital, but may be required to work in other areas within SCFT. Previous applicants are welcome to re-apply.
