Professional Services is a core component of Customer Success at Brandwatch. As a team, we strive to enable and advance our clients’ use of social data by taking them from data to insights to actions that have a real business impact and empower our users’ long-term self-sufficiency.

As we continue our global expansion, we are hiring a Freelancer Manager to join our dynamic Professional Services team in Brighton.This is an exciting opportunity that offers hands-on work, ownership of internal projects and flexibility to learn, grow, and develop in the constantly changing landscape of social media.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can multitask, particularly the day to day running of a team alongside improving the Freelance offering, capability and workflow.
  • Loves working with multiple teams/roles, understanding their needs and pain points (freelancers, project managers, analysts, marketing, product).
  • Can work independently and can manage their own time and workloads.
  • Is able to get to the crux of an issue to identify how to resolve it.
  • Has a proactive approach, is always looking to improve the freelance offerings and has the ability to identify process improvements.
  • Is a good judge of character, particularly when working with high turnover of freelancers. Identifying talent/star performers and utilising them.

You’ll need to:

  • Process all monthly freelancer invoices in preparation for payment by finance.
  • Promote and enhancement of the freelance community via various communications (Newsletter and internal  messages)
  • Ensure adequate freelance resources are available for project work (using historic and pipeline data).
  • Liaise with the People Team to screen, interview and hire appropriate candidates.
  • Onboard all new freelancers, including training and sign off on platform knowledge. Ensuring all new starters documentation is completed and securely filed.
  • Identify training needs within the current pool of freelancers and to provide relevant training (refresher, specific platform, adverse events) where appropriate.
  • Collect feedback from freelancers and project managers to assess staff satisfaction and process improvements (feedback forms, surveys, freelancer of the year)
  • Assess processes to identify ways to make the freelancer experience more efficient and accessible (training videos, templates, process guides)
  • Stop check all freelancer tasks are correctly set up, assigned, time tracked etc. This also includes the updating of freelancer unavailability/calendars on our PSA Tool.
  • Track freelancer spend, being able to break down cost by recruitment, department, language, time period etc.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify project issues and best practices for working with freelancers (large scale roll outs, task setups etc).
  • Promote freelancer services outside of Customer Success (marketing, engineering, product). Scoping and project managing freelancer requests from non PS/RS teams.
  • Ensure compliance of all legal aspects when working with freelancers. This includes (but is not limited to); contract completion and safe storage. Setting up of users on PSA and Brandwatch Analytics platforms. Termination of contracts and removal of logins. Awareness of contract and employment law.
  • Adapt to changes in team strategy/new ways of working to maintain consistency & best fit of freelancer network.

You should have:

  • Advanced proficiency using a PSA software.
  • Experience in managing, training and recruiting individuals.
  • Excellent organisational and time keeping skills.
  • Good level of proficiency using the Brandwatch Analytics platform. Up to date with platform changes.

**This role is 32 hours a week.
