Children’s Support Worker, Worthing

£17.5K per annum + £62.64 per sleep-in (an extra £3758 per year)

Full-time, 2 days on, 4 days off

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to become Children’s Support Worker’s close to the Worthing area of West Sussex. You would be joining a small residential home for girls aged between 10 – 18 with Educational Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) with challenging behaviours who may have experienced sexual exploitation or trauma.

Responsibilities

As their Support Worker, your role will be pivotal in helping the young people achieve positive futures. No child should be excluded, so they have created a warm and safe environment where all the children can feel a sense of belonging and be valued for who they are. You will help them with every day life skills and encourage them to participate in activities, helping them find what they are passionate about, so they can grow up into the person they want to be.

What qualifications & experience are required?

* It is preferred that you have experience working with children/young adults or have personal experience of working with people with learning disabilities;

* You will ideally hold an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare.

* It is essential that you are a car driver due to the partly rural location.
