Waking Night Support Worker, Eastbourne

We are looking for night owls to become a Waking Night Support Worker close to the Eastbourne area of East Sussex.This is an exciting opportunity to join a Children’s Residential service founded on wonderful values where children with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and challenging behaviours receive the very best in education, care and support to achieve all their goals in life.

Shifts 10pm – 10am

2 nights per week – £9,948.60 per annum

3 nights per week – £14,922.90 per annum

4 nights per week - £19,897.20 per annum

Their aim is to promote the inclusion of all the children they support ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to become as independent as possible and not letting any barrier prevent them from living life to the full. They offer in-house medical, occupational and nursing therapies for all the children to access.

As their Support Worker, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and welfare of the children in residence throughout the night. You will monitor residents with additional medical and health needs. You will also carry out some domestic duties such as cleaning, washing and ironing.

What experience & skills are required?

·It is preferred that you have experience working/living with children/young adults or have personal experience of working with people with learning disabilities;

·You will ideally hold an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce. However, full training is provided so not essential;

·Ideally, you will also be a car driver due to the partly rural location.
