Job Profile for CNC Miller - AM136020

5 Axis CNC Machinist required for a well-established subcontract engineering firm based in the Littlehampton area. Our client specialise in manufacture of high quality components supplying industries including Motorsport and bespoke tooling.

CNC Miller - 5 Axis Miller Position Overview

It is envisioned that the successful candidate will have experience in the setting and operating of 5 Axis milling machines, other responsibilities will include;

• Editing programs at the machine (Heidenhain and Mazatrol Controls)
• Setting and Operating 5 Axis Mills / Machining centres.
• First off inspection using hand tools
• Reporting to the Team Leader on shift.
• Reducing waste where possible to improve overall efficiency.
• Reading engineering drawings
• Work effectively as part of a team implementing company policies and procedures.

CNC Miller - Position Requirements

• 3+ years' experience setting and operating 5 Axis CNC machinery (Heidenhain or Mazak Beneficial though not mandatory)
• Previous experience inspecting own work to strict tolerances.
• Professional knowledge of online programming beneficial
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
• Be able to set a standard of cleanliness and maintain it in your working area.
• Based in a commutable distance of Hemel Hempstead
• Full UK Driving License

CNC Miller - Position Remuneration

• £13ph - £17ph Dependent upon skill
• 28 days' holiday including bank holidays
• Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
• Overtime available (at time and half)
• Pension
