BANK CATERING ASSISTANT

£8.25 ph (plus enhancements for unsocial hours)

St Barnabas House, Worthing

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at St Barnabas House, to help cover busy periods, holidays and sickness.

Duties can include preparing breakfasts, general food preparation such as sandwiches, salads and vegetables, distribution and collection of trays from wards, patients’ drinks rounds, operation of dishwasher, putting stores away, stocking and cleaning of vending machines, cleaning duties and assisting with other duties.

You will need to have a flexible, team-orientated approach and must be comfortable working in the ward areas and going into patients’ rooms.

Previous experience of working in a care environment and/or an understanding of food handling and hygiene regulations would be preferred
