Job Details
Mainly based at the Broadwater Campus, Worthing
Part-time, 21 hours per week, full year (Mon - Thurs 1.00pm - 5.00pm, Fri 9.00am - 2.00pm)
With an extra 8 hours per week during term time (Mon - Thurs 1.00pm - 7.00pm, Fri 9.00am - 2.00pm)
N B - Wed and Thurs evenings 5.00pm - 7.00pm to be at the West Durrington Campus
(29 hours per week, Term Time, 21 hours per week, non term time)
We are seeking to appoint a part time Receptionist, as per the hours listed above, providing exceptional customer service, liaising with internal and external customers, providing first line advice and information on general course enquiries in person and on the telephone.
As the role involves dealing with students and staff, post holders will need to be good communicators and have excellent customer care skills. Post holders must also be efficient in carrying out administrative tasks in a busy environment
Post holders will also operate the main switchboard.
You will require previous experience of working on a busy reception area within a large organization and good IT skills, also the ability to work on your own initiative with a patient and calm approach to your work. You should also have excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience of working with young people some of whom have vulnerabilities, English as a second language or Special Educational Needs would also be very useful.
