About the job
We're looking for experienced and dynamic sales consultants to join our established and expanding Freedom Treks team, selling cycling holidays and making a real contribution to the business.
This role is highly varied and you will be involved throughout the customer journey from point of enquiry right through to booking and beyond, whilst consistently delivering the highest levels of customer service at every stage.
Working towards set sales targets, you will be talking to customers on the phone, by email and on live chat to establish their holiday requirements. You’ll then put together suggestions based on your knowledge of our programme and prepare tailored, informative quotations for the customer, before following up to answer any questions and secure the booking. Once confirmed, you’ll look after all aspects of the booking, including preparing documents, answering pre-departure questions and liaising with suppliers.
You will also be involved in keeping our website up to date, maintaining excellent supplier relationships and contributing to marketing output.

The ideal candidate will be a keen cyclist with experience of selling holidays. You should have good general knowledge of the travel industry and be well travelled yourself. First-hand knowledge of some (or all!) of the destinations we feature in our programmes will be a distinct advantage for this role. Full training will be provided, including travel on our tours.
You might be an experienced sales professional already working in the travel industry, perhaps at another tour operator. You're motivated by meeting targets, both your own and those of your team. You excel at delivering great customer service and have a positive attitude; you are incredibly organised and have an excellent eye for detail. A passion for travel is vital and, whilst you might not have first-hand knowledge of all our destinations, you’re keen - and willing - to learn.
£20-24k per annum dependent on experience, plus generous company benefits including overseas travel to experience the products first-hand, a performance related annual bonus and company pension scheme.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 am-5:30 pm, with occasional 10 am-6:30 pm weekday late shifts and 10 am-4 pm Saturday shifts.
