Business Analyst - IT BA sought by a large organisation with offices in Sussex. Working as a Business Analyst you will work as part of a large IT team and be accountable for IT change within the organisation. You will have proven stakeholder engagement skills and feel comfortable liaising with both technical and non-technical users.



The role:

Working closely with Project Managers and Business Leads, you will be responsible for understanding and interpreting business priorities, problems or opportunities into business process and solutions which may or may not involve changes to technology.



Duties will include;

• Work independently to elicit, validate and document business requirements, perform
  gap analysis and input into solution where necessary.
• Document the current process, system and organisation using standard modelling
  and mapping techniques.
• Identify where change is required by performing thorough gap analysis and identify
  potential solutions (assessing them from both a technical and business suitability).
• Engage with project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the project, review the
  quality of business change deliverables and develop and design solutions when
  gaps are apparent.
• Undertake reviews of change plans to assess whether the business model is
  effective and to ensure that consistency and integrity is maintained.
• Undertake post project implementations reviews and ensure that findings and
  lessons learnt are acted upon.
• Promote best practice through planning, organising, co-ordinating and running
  workshops with senior/end users, encouraging stakeholder engagement to
  gather and meet business needs and ensuring there are no gaps or duplication.
• Liaise with business users, IT and suppliers as appropriate.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• At least 1 year experience working with business analysis
• Experience of a product focussed environment - supporting the development of a core functionality to support the needs of the business
• Ability to effectively identify problems, and provide suitable solutions to address issues
• A good understanding of the change processes within an IT Department
• Good verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to tailor these depending on the audience using a variety of business productivity tools
• Good interpersonal skills, with strong ownership ethic and be capable of managing issues through to resolution
• Sound decision making, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively and proven desire to provide solutions
