Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician

South East Territory (Covering, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and South London areas.)

£21,000 basic salary. On Target Earnings £26,000 to £28,000 per annum made up of commission work volume bonus payments.

Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician sought within a successful national manufacturer and service provider of specialised cleaning machinery offering additional earning potential.

The role will be suited to engineers/technicians from ANY background with either a mechanical or electrical skill set or the ability to demonstrate practical competencies. No formal qualifications are necessary and all training required will be provided for the right person. The key to this role is confident communication skills and excellent awareness of customer facing skills in terms of service and maximising revenue on equipment repair and spares.

You will need to be organised and self motivated as you will have the autonomy to manage and diarise your own client visits in line with equipment service requirements. The territory contains approximately 400 – 500 machines all of which require 1 to 2 service calls per annum so there is uncapped potential to boost earnings with service and repair revenue generated. You will also be able to earn additional sums on essential spares and accessories sold to each customer. These are essential components to the machines so high numbers sold is easily achieved.

The company are the equipment manufacturer so full and complete training is guaranteed, they cover the whole of the UK and have a very strong, established customer base. The successful candidate will benefit from long term job security and increasing earning potential within the role.

The role in brief:

* Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and repair on a range of floor cleaning machinery, full training given.
* Work from home with company vehicle managing own diary within your own customer base attending customer sites for scheduled service and breakdown support.
* Ensuring revenue is maximised by advising on appropriate repairs and selling spares on customer visits.

The Person Required:

* From any field service background on any equipment, you can be either mechanically or electrically trained, no formal qualifications required.
* Willing to cover the South East territory.
* The role will involve public sector buildings including schools and hospitals therefore all candidates must be willing to undergo a voluntary disclosure check.
