An opportunity has arisen within the Human Resources function at Shoreham Port. The Port has been consistently growing and now employers around 120 staff. The Human Resources Manager will be joining at an exciting time to support this growth and help to continue to build the unique culture that the Port has developed. This role will be very varied and ideally suited to someone with a few years’ experience in administration and HR and is looking for a new challenge/step up. The person must enjoy continually raising standards and helping to make the Port the best it can be. Skills and experience

  • Proven HR generalist experience (three years plus)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Strong administration skills with attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application
  • Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change
  • Solving and dealing with problems
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial
  • Strong ethics and values
  • Relationship builder

Desirable

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent

Pay/Package

  • Salary – Dependent on experience
  • Exceptional defined benefit pension scheme – Employer contribution rate 18%
  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Additional information

  • Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700 with a one-hour lunch break (40 hours/week)
