Mind in Brighton and Hove empowers and supports people who have experience of mental health issues in Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex.

We are seeking to recruit an Employment Advisor to join our team for 35 hours a week and provide advice and information, skills-based interventions, and employment support to people experiencing mental health issues who wish to remain in, return to and/or find work.

The role will be varied and involve managing a busy caseload and will include liaison work with employers and other external partners, so experience and a commitment to partnership working is required.

You will require a knowledge of the employment sector and an understanding of the barriers people face in the workplace. Experience and skills in providing advice and information and a track record of successfully engaging and working with people experiencing mental health issues is essential.

The Employment Advisor Team is part of the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service, a primary care mental health (IAPT) service delivered by a partnership of four organisations: Mind in Brighton and Hove, HERE, Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust and YMCA Downslink Group.

This post is fixed term to cover maternity leave until 31st March 2020 (with a possible funding extension).
