Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is the largest community healthcare provider in Sussex.

An exciting new position has arisen for an enthusiastic Community Fundraising Manager to join us at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT). The successful candidate will help revitalise the delivery of the Trust's fundraising strategy on behalf of the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds (Registered Charity Number 1051763).

We're looking for an innovative, proactive campaigner who can develop the strategic direction of our Charitable Funds and provide an original approach to our fundraising. The post would suit someone with a charity/fundraising background who is passionate about learning and keen to develop their career in a more strategic direction.

Our Charitable Funds support the activities of our Trust across Sussex by means of grant funding. The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust General Charitable Fund and Other Related Charities is an 'NHS group charity' which comprises the following funds:

 

 

 

  • A single unrestricted income fund known as the General Charitable Fund
  • Special purpose income funds
  • A common investment fund

 


The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring that increased charitable income provides the maximum value to our Trust, our patients, and the wider communities we serve. They will design and lead major fundraising campaigns, coordinating staff, volunteers, networks of community fundraisers and local charities for maximum impact.

We are looking for a candidate with the following key attributes:

 

 

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Confidence in establishing effective working relationships across the organisation and with external groups
  • Experience of managing a digital presence, including social media
  • Ability to work at strategic and operational planning levels
  • Facilitative and inclusive approach

 


This post is being offered initially on a two year fixed term contract. A variety of flexible working options are available.
