THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Lead the Global Financial Shared Services (FSS) Team, which supports 22 countries globally, and is responsible for transaction accounting processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Expense Administration and SAP Global Master Data. The role reports Global Financial Controller and is a critical role in the wider business.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

• Accountable for leading and mentoring the FSS team and fostering a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement and customer service
• Drive efficiencies in process through continuous improvement & automation
• Responsible for timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices through accounts payable and driving automation and efficiency into the process.
• Responsible for timely and accurate billing to Head Franchise, Sub Franchise and Wholesale customers and timely collection of customer payments in support of TBS cash flow
• Responsible for the integrity of master data records and driving automation into master data processes.
• Responsible for the Bank Reconciliation process, including reconciliation, clearing and reporting
• Responsible for managing the Expense Reimbursement system (Concur), process, accounting and reporting, and be the main contact with Concur
• Responsible for month end closing, including reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for all G/L accounts and sub ledgers owned by the FFS team
• Responsible for KPI reporting and stakeholder requirements
• Accountable for setting and driving compliance with policies, processes and internal controls

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Experience of managing a team of 10+ at various level of experience and seniority
• Experience of managing or dealing with a finance shared services department
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, intermediate excel essential
• Knowledge of SAP/BW or similar systems
• Knowledge of accountant principles and practices
• Strong people leader with track record of people development
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with large years of post qualified experience

LOCATION
Our Head Office “Home of The Body Shop” is located in the heart of Littlehampton, West Sussex. On site there is a state of the art distribution centre, conference centre, a 1950’s ‘Uncle Fred’s Diner’, a nursery and an onsite allotment area for staff.
