37.5 Hrs (Part-time hours considered) - Based at our Eastbourne Office

Chestnut Tree House, near Arundel is the children's hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire. We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Chestnut Tree House Children’s Community Service delivers care to children and young people (CYP) with Life Limiting and Life Threatening conditions across Sussex and South East Hampshire. We provide respite care to CYP enabling them alongside their families to enjoy life to the full. At the end of a CYP’s life we are able to provide specialist care and symptom management to enable the CYP to stay at home, if this is their choice.

We are seeking an experienced Care Support Worker with excellent communication skills for this exciting opportunity to work within the East Sussex team in supporting this service. Working flexibly within the 24/7 on-call service, you’ll demonstrate clinical excellence and maintain consistently high standards of individualised care and bereavement support.

Although this role is based at our Eastbourne office you will be out in the community and will also be required to travel to Chestnut Tree House, near Arundel for training and meetings.

A car and current UK driving licence are essential.
