We are working with a well established family run business based near Brighton who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them.

Based in a commercial office and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager or Lead Surveyor you will be required to perform a variety of surveying functions within a small team.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• Measuring and estimating for full take-offs.
• Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations.
• Preparing final accounts.
• Preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Pricing variation orders and charging the client accordingly.
• Monitoring costs to ensure budgets.
• Document control.
• Assist in administration of RAMS
• Attending sites at least once a month for valuations.
• Support the CVR process.
• Applications for Payment.
• Awareness of SMM.
• General administrative duties.
• Assist with contract cash flow.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years' experience as a quantity surveyor.
• Knowledge of brickwork is preferred but not essential.
• You will have a high attention to detail and good communication skills
• The ability to prioritise efficiently.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Team player
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Driving License or working towards one.
