A fantastic job opportunity has arisen as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Eastbourne, their global centre of excellence specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers and drives within the semi-conductor industry.

The role as the Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Eastbourne will be working within the NPI Development team and be responsible for liasing with the relevant staff to ensure the overall quality and delivery of new parts are to the highest standards. You will also work to ensure the proposed design concepts are able to be manufactured in a cost effective manner. With this in mind you will also oversee the prototype build of products in question, prepare relevant documentation and actively participate in PFMEAs(Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DFMEs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). This role will also require you to work with Operations personnel to allow for the optimisation and layout of the assembly areas well as the assembly tooling used in the NPI build.

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Eastbourne, you will have experience in a New Product Development (NPI) role with electronics assembly experience as well as experience in the use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP Preferable). You will also have an Engineering Degree or equivalent with 2 years experience minimum in a similar position. Awareness of Printed Circuit Assembly techniques is essential for this role.
