Job Details
St Barnabas House is an independent charitable hospice located in Worthing, West Sussex. We provide end of life care services, both at the hospice and in the local community, to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting conditions.
We need a volunteer to help support the team in the Day Hospice on a Tuesday afternoon.
The role will involve:
- Continuing tasks handed over from the morning volunteer shift;
- Finishing feeding patients, desserts etc
- Clearing down the lunches
- Joining in activities
- Serving refreshments for the patients
- Preparing for the afternoon raffle
- Assisting the nursing team
- Clearing down for the day.
Mandatory:
- You will need to be approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Adhere to the boundaries of the role and organisation
- Have resolved any personal grief
We will provide you with induction training which will include an Introduction to the Hospice, Health and Safety Awareness and relevant on the job training.
