Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Eastbourne
Salary: Circa £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Kinect’s international, award winning consultancy client has a requirement for an infrastructure engineer working onsite with one of their Public Sector clients. The position will be varied, exciting and includes providing second \ third line support and technical implementation: installation, maintenance, performance optimization of infrastructure technologies.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
* Evaluate hardware and software (for server, network, storage or desktop environments)
* Test all deliverables produced and document results.
* Integration and test of new products (both hardware and software) for incorporation into program infrastructure.
* Administration and enhancement of the environment and its supportability.
* Provide second/ third line support.
* Accurately assess time to complete tasks in order to follow standard project processes and procedures.
* To be aware of the relevant SLA structure and to respond, fix or escalate according to the limits set out within that structure.
The highly sought candidate will possess:
* Good working knowledge and experience of associated infrastructure engineering tools, techniques, methods within their specialist area.
* Demonstrable experience of working as an Infrastructure Engineer on small or medium sized software engineering projects.
* Infrastructure skills covering administration, fault finding/diagnosis and fix.
* Experience within a customer support environment.
* Extensive work experience in infrastructure Management
* Experienced in MS Exchange 2010\16
* Experienced in VMWare\HyperV\ESX
* Experienced in Remote access \ VPN
* Experienced in Windows Server 2012 \ 2016
* AD \ GPO \PowerShell
