Senior Compliance Engineer – BRIGHTON - £40k

Overview

The Senior Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring product compliance of sourced product. Needs to evaluate reports and documentation and provide CE compliance and regulatory sign off.

In addition, you will support the preparation of specific product technical information, work closely with overseas compliance team to ensure understanding of current standards and ensure staff are competent in performing their test duties.

Responsibilities

- Authorisation of product testing and evaluation reports and documentation.

- Production and issuance of reports and certificates.

- Working with overseas colleagues to ensure that staff is suitably equipped to perform their tasks.

- To carry out online and paper-based research into products and components.

- Manage timely and efficient delivery of results and reports.

- To produce routine product data derived from manufacturers’ published information.

- Assisting the Compliance Controller with the creation, updating and issue of forms, documents and technical files.

- Provide assistance and support to other business functions of the company regarding technical aspects of products, test reports, requirements and procedures

- Process requests received by the Laboratory.

- Recording and updating schedules for specific testing requests and communicating these to relevant staff.

- Liaising with and assisting Laboratory staff to process information requests, samples, communication of results, writing and issue of reports.

- Liaison with suppliers to obtain product data.

- Assist the Laboratory staff in ensuring that the Lab, its equipment and records are kept in a tidy and orderly condition.

- Assist with updating laboratory procedures.

- Be aware of and learn about: electronic technologies and laboratory equipment, testing, measurement, national and international standards, relevant legislation and good practice.
