Greater Brighton Metropolitan College has an exciting and rare opportunity for a 0.4 Lecturer to join the dynamic and friendly Creative Industries team at our central Brighton campus.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has the skills and experience to teach and manage our popular, part-time UAL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. This course is very popular and attracts large numbers of mature students who pay for their studies. As such, applicants for this post must have experience of working with adult learners and should possess a broad and varied arts skill base. We are particularly interested to hear from applicants who can deliver lessons in painting, drawing, printmaking, contextual studies and life drawing to an exceptional standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the course including the design of creative and imaginative assignments, schemes of work, student recruitment, trips and visits and work experience opportunities, tutorial and pastoral support, assessment and all associated course and quality related administration.
Applicants must be educated to degree level or higher in a creative arts subject, preferably Fine Art and possess a recognised teaching qualification.
