Job Title: Repair Management Executive

Salary: £21,331 - £25,822 per annum

Location: Hassocks - own transport essential due to location

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday

We're delighted to be working with a leading global aircraft component service provider in their search for a Repair Management Executive to join their team. As the Repair Management Executive, you will be responsible for processing Repair Management Transactions from receipt of component through to order completion.

In this role you will provide the highest level of service to all company departments and customers, maintaining and building effective partnerships. This will be an exciting position for someone who has previous experience working within an office-based environment who has strong negotiation skills, as well as a genuine interest and passion for the aviation industry.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer RFQs
  • Process customer pre-alerts or RM orders
  • Source suppliers to quality and industry approved standards as required
  • Issue repair orders on approved suppliers in accordance with company process and procedures
  • Create and process customer quotations ensuring relevant management and freight fees are applied, in line with company processes
  • Expedite open orders to effectively achieve required delivery and service levels
  • Process return shipment to customers
  • Invoice customers
  • Develop successful supplier, customer and internal relationships through a combination of good written and telephone communication
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best price, terms, warranty and service levels in accordance with departmental key performance indicators
  • Provide excellent customer account management
  • Attend customer/supplier meetings including occasional travel
  • Evaluate workshop reports and repair quotations in accordance with company processes, procedures and within existing authority levels
  • Liaise with internal departments as the nature of the specific task may require
  • Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant
  • Assist MRO with all tasks/projects as required

Skills required:

  • Experience gained within an aircraft component, MRO or trading environment is desirable
  • Good administrative skills gained within an office environment
  • Proven ability to provide and deliver excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated, able to use own initiative and succeed in a busy environment
  • Ability to travel as and when required
  • Desire to learn and develop in depth knowledge and skills within Repair Management Components
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, meet deadlines and KPI's
  • Good negotiation, organisational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with ability to use initiative and common sense
  • Analytical thinker with experience of producing and evaluating reports
  • Knowledge of Export and Import procedures and controls
  • Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook, with exposure to Aircraft parts databases such as Quantum desirable
  • Language skills desirable
