Our market leading client is seeking an AWS Development Engineer who wants to be at the cutting edge of cloud services. You are, at core, an expert Software developer with flair for designing and solving Public cloud adoption challenges with AWS.

Responsibilities:

  • You will help design and develop new features the clients products for AWS.
  • You will be required to work with product management, product owner, lead engineering architect, and operations teams for delivering features assigned
  • Identify opportunities for further improvements to the products and services through development of further automation

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in designing solutions using one or more AWS features, tools and technologies such as EC2, EBS, Glacier, S3, ELB, CloudFormation, Lambada, CloudWatch, VPC, RDS, DirectConnect, AWS CLI, REST API, AWS billing, Service Catalogs DynamoDB.
  • Experience with virtual firewalls, AWS DirectConnect, VPN tunnels.
  • Linux/Windows: Experience working on Linux servers, Comfortable with shell scripting.
  • Strong development experience with Ansible, Python and Node JS.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Experience working with enterprise IT or service provider environment.
  • Disaster Recovery knowledge.
  • Prior experience creating cloud environments.
  • Experience designing or building Hybrid-Cloud environments.
  • Automation experience (CI/CD Puppet, Chef, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Willingness to undergo Security Clearance checks.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and complete BS7858 British standard screening prior to joining company.
