As an engineering lecturer you’ll be influencing and inspiring the engineers of the future.

Our growing engineering department now needs an electronics specialist to deliver courses to a wide variety of students on our Eastbourne campus.  Bring your passion for your subject into the classroom, engaging and motivating young people.

Planning and delivering engaging lessons, you’ll also contribute to the direction and shape of the engineering function as it grows and develops.   You’ll not only support students in their academic ambitions but more broadly during this critical point in their lives.

It’s vital you bring a real desire to work with young people coupled with the ability to explain complex engineering theories in an easy to understand way.  Passing on your degree level knowledge and industry experience to help students understand the demands of the workplace is crucial to success in this role as this will help them make the transition into good quality work in this rewarding career.

You’ll need to show empathy and ability to work with young people.  Whilst you’ll ideally have some experience of teaching and a qualification, we can teach you to teach if needed.

Our Eastbourne campus is based just outside the town, with plenty of free parking, or we’re a short walk from Hampden Park station.  We’ve got a range of subsidised catering facilities on site so you’re never far from a great cup of coffee.

This post is subject to a DBS check.

Closing date: 22nd September 2019
