Upholsterer

Fantastic NEW opportunity for an experienced upholsterer to become a part of a busy team producing soft furnishings for our client in the Brighton area.

This will be a permanent position after the qualifying period. The successful candidate will have at least one years’ experience and is comfortable working within an industrial environment.

Your role:

As an experienced Upholster, It would be required that you pad and cover various products You will need to have the ability to take accurate measurements and work out amounts of materials, have excellent attention to detail and practical skills, patience and perseverance, safety awareness and the self- motivation to be able to work without supervision.

• Upholster a varied range of furniture,
• Cutting and sewing machine skills essential
• Covering frames and panels with padding and fabric using stitching, staples, tacks or glue

• Work in a pressured environment with tight deadlines
• Flexible approach
• Good work ethic
• Reliable and proactive with a hands on attitude
• Be a team player, work well within the immediate upholstery team and wider departments.

Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 (flexible)

Pay: £12:00 to £15:00 per hour (depending on experience)
