Job Title: AAT qualified Accounts Assistant (Billing)

Salary: £20k-£25k

Location: Lancing

Full time, 9am-5:30pm

Our client is looking to recruit an AAT qualified Accounts Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Finance Manager
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and ability to pre-empt needs of Finance Manager and wider business
  • Responding to, and resolving queries effectively and efficiently, liaising with Finance Manager
  • Prepare and process company billing (Sales Ledger) to set deadlines
  • Obtain, analyse and reconcile CDRs from Supplier portals
  • Investigate missing CLIs and rates and update billing system with data
  • Import service charges from Supplier portals
  • Analyse and reconcile pre-billing reports
  • Analyse draft invoices, post billing reports, update post bill run reports
  • Liaising with billing provider to finalise bill run ready for sign off by Finance Manager, reporting any requested adjustments
  • Calculate commissions based on bill run data
  • Monitor and address bounced emails and log in queries during bill run period
  • Monitor billing inbox
  • Update billing spreadsheets
  • Regular customer rate reviews
  • Monitor and Update billing platform with price increases/decreases
  • Reconcile supplier invoices to ensure accurate charges; rates, product, time periods
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies

Requirements

  • Level 2 - Level 3 AAT qualified
  • At least 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills and confident using Accounting and CRM systems
  • Excellent telephone manner with the ability to quickly establish needs of Team
  • Strong accounting and numeracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail achieving high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks to a high standard
  • Ability to work as team and using own initiative
