£11.00 - £14.00 per hour

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two experienced Support Workers to work directly with one of our clients in their home, with the focus on providing highly individualised support and personal care.

Our client is a 10 year old boy who loves animals, enjoys going for walks and YouTube. Experience of epilepsy and cerebral palsy is desirable as our client experiences seizures, is non-verbal and peg fed.

As well as providing ongoing care, you will also be supporting the family and playing an important part in promoting this child’s enjoyment of life.
The hourly rates of pay are as follows:-

* Monday to Friday £11.00

* Monday to Friday (waking nights) £12.00

* Saturday and Sunday £13.00

* Saturday and Sunday (waking nights) £14.00

The hours required set in a monthly rota, working 30 hours per week in term time, and 36 hours per week in non-term time, with the possibility of additional hours covering for staff holiday and other absences.

Everyone is required to work rostered day, night and weekend shifts. Day time shifts are between 08:00-20:00, or 14:00-20:00 during school term-time, and night-time shifts are between 20:00-08:00

Experience and qualities required of the roles include:

* Ideally an experienced Carer/Care Worker/Support Worker, possibly with NVQ Health & Social Care

* Confidence with epilepsy and cerebral palsy is desirable

* Hands-on experience dealing with seizures and peg tube feeding would also be an advantage, although full training will be provided

* Good standard of written and spoken English are essential

* Excellent observation skills and a high level of competency are essential

* Proven experience of managing a complex needs client would be preferable

* Experience of working with young people or children preferable
