Job Details
Our client who is based in Brighton are currently looking for a responsible Administration Assistant Apprentice to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
Duties of the apprentice include providing support to the Business Operations Managers and employees and assisting in daily office needs.
Your responsibilities are as follows:
- Handling general office tasks such as: answering the door, general tidiness of the office, filing, printing, scanning and photocopying
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and schedule appointments, diary management
- Using computers to generate reports, create presentations, and carry out research
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Distribution and posting of mail correspondence
- Assist in the preparation of reports
- Assist in creating, updating and maintaining office policies and procedures
- Keep on top of office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Assist in researching and booking travel arrangement
- Maintain computer and manual filing systems
- Data entry and database research
- Formatting of CVs
- Posting of job adverts on various online platforms
- Training and managing of temporary International interns
- Developing and updating of administrative systems to make them more efficient
- Maintain up-to-date employee holiday and sickness records
- Coordinate repairs to office equipment
- Complete the Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification

Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. It is the college for our City and our region and draws on 150 years of heritage, history and experience.
