Source Solutions are working with a leading technology design, manufacture and installation organisation, in identifying a multi-skilled engineer to work in a small team, on the full lifecycle development of defence systems, incorporating electrical, mechanical and low voltage (LV) network design.
This role will see the successful candidate develop state of the art and complex systems for a range of applications and will utilise strong knowledge across several disciplines.
It will also see the successful candidate take on and lead engineering tasks for the full lifecycle of projects including:
- Initial requirement analysis
- Design concept and draughting
- Costing/BOM and quotations
- Detailed design and creation
- Customer sign off and handover
- Ongoing customer support
The candidate:
The equipment involved, is formed of three facets - electrical, mechanical and computer systems, all brought together, and this role will suit someone who:
- Has a background in Electrical Engineering design
- Is experienced in LV design for computer networks and/or is experienced in managing, deploying computer networks
- Has a good grasp of mechanical engineering
- Is experienced in using AutoCAD or similar CAD system
- Is keen to develop within a large and reputable organisation
- Has experience working within either the Defence, Marine systems or aviation systems environment
- Is able to obtain SC Clearance
