The Company
My client is a specialist contracting business who work within Civils, Construction and Utilities sectors. They are currently growing year on year in the UK and turn over approximately £50 Million.As a result, they are looking to hire a regionally based Site Manager to coordinate and organise engineering activities on various sites on Civils Projects through the Marine & Water Industry, Typically on projects between £5m and £15m.
The Role
Based on sites throughout East and West Sussex the role will be reporting to the Construction Manager and responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of major live sites, ensuring the successful delivery of all projects on time and within agreed budgets.
·Take responsibility for efficient planning and utilisation of the subcontracted resource
·Ongoing maintenance of high standards of quality
·Frequent Liaison with clients in the area.
·Write RAMS and conduct toolbox talks
·Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard and in line with current HSE legislation.
·Ensure CDM Regulations are adhered to at all times
·Ensure that all Subcontractors are conforming to project schedule and the works program is run effectively.
The Candidate
Will ideally posses;
·Site Cards SMSTS/CSCS Black Card
·5 years’ experience in a Site Manager role
·Proven experience in the construction of water treatment facilities, marine projects and large Civils works valued £5m+
·Previous subcontractor supervisory experience, including planning and organisation of resources and budget control.
·Confident use of Microsoft Office and understanding of MS Projects.
·A full and clean driving licence
Ideally the successful candidate will also posses:
·IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
