Based at the Central Campus, Brighton and East Campus Brighton
We are seeking a Lead Pastoral Mentor to lead a team of Pastoral Mentors working with students to promote attendance,punctuality,retention and as a consequence, success rates by providing mentoring support to students who have a range of support needs, such as emotional and behavioral difficulties, that may impinge on their potential to achieve their goals.
You will be acting as a Duty Safeguarding Officer for the College, ensuring effective internal and external referrals are made. Also you will be actively monitoring, recording and analysing all necessary data and records in relation to the service, and producing timely reports as required.
You will require a level 3 qualification in a relevant youth service area and experience of leading a team providing frontline support to vulnerable or at risk young people or adults. You will also require awareness and understanding of the needs of care experienced students and experience of supporting students in an educational setting.
