Waking Night Support Worker, Worthing

£8.50 per hour

Full and part-time, 10:30pm - 7:30am (rota to be agreed)

We are looking for night owls to become a Waking Night Support Worker close to the Worthing area of West Sussex. You would be joining a small residential home for girls aged between 10 – 18 with Educational Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) with challenging behaviours who may have experienced sexual exploitation or trauma. This job is working nights.

This could be the rewarding role you’re looking for

This is a truly special organization to be a part of and they look to make every day extraordinary for the children they care and support, because they believe in every single one of them. You would be working in a small 5 bedded home. It’s not often that they look to recruit, they have a very low staff turnover and a long-established staff team. There is plenty of training and support available to help you flourish.

Responsibilities

As their Waking Night Support Worker, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and welfare of the children in residence throughout the night. You will also carry out some domestic duties such as cleaning, washing and ironing.

What qualifications & experience are required?

* It is preferred that you have experience working with children/young adults or have personal experience of working with people with learning disabilities;

* You will ideally hold an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare.

* It is essential that you are a car driver due to the partly rural location.

If you’re looking for a job that is not only rewarding but also offers a great career, then this could be what you’re looking for. This provider will also help you obtain further qualifications, so this may just be the start for you. Helping a child achieve their goals is a wonderful feeling.
