Azure DevOps Engineer required for Brighton base corporate migrating major applications from the Data Centre into the Cloud. The role required travel between Brighton & Redhill and enjoys a salary between £55,000 - £65,000 Plus Superb Bonus & Benefits Package
This DevOps Engineer will be joining a major programme of work within this Financial & Insurance organisation, to help migrate a large number of applications from the Data Centre into the Cloud.
Requiring strong Azure Cloud skills with experience of builds & configuration, the DevOps Engineer will utilise their skills to set up CI/CD pipelines, implement Containerisation using Kubernetes/AKS and act as the Azure Subject Matter Expert for the Infrastructure Operations team.
Responsibilities Include:
Technical ownership of Devops and CI/CD initiative and configuration management.
Working closely with the development, Cloud Engineers, Operations, Security and Architects to build and maintain the Application deployment and to ensure all solutions are Secure by Design and Secure in Practice.
Responsible for ensuring that Design principles and development best practices are adapted to develop the Code.
Responsible for Code branching strategy
Act as a master trouble shooter and SME where required.
Create and maintain the documentations for knowledge sharing and training
Support the Devops and Cloud adoption to application teams and review current and proposed architecture and design deliverables and support as the SME for Devops, DevSecOps, CI/CD and cloud adoption.
Work with business stakeholders to identify strategic Devops adoption and automation requirements
Execute POCs and feasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologies leveraging results to guide business and technology decisions.
Work with Scrum masters and product owners and other functional teams to translate the roadmap into releases
Keep abreast of and gain expertise in the evolving technology and understand how new technologies could be applied to the Cloud estate.
Skills Required:
Strong technical skills in Devops and CI/CD
Good Jenkins experience with Pipeline as a code
Cloud - Azure Cloud
Containers - Docker
Kubernetes – (Standalone/Managed)
Terraform – Infra-as-a-code
Ansible – Config. Management and Scripting
Source Control - Bitbucket/GIT
Agile Planning – Jira, Confluence
Build Tools - Maven, Gradle
Code Coverage/Scan - SONAR
Code repository - Artifactory
With the remit to continue to expand & grow your knowledge, together with flexible working (The DevOps Engineer will typically spend 2 days a week in Brighton, 2 days in Redhill and work 1 day from home, interested Candidates need to apply now
