Purchase Ledger Supervisor – 12 month Maternity leave cover

 

The finance team here at Collinson are looking to add to their growing team in our Haywards Heath Location. The role will support and manage a busy finance team in completing monthly information for multiple group companies. We are looking for an experienced manager who can also get involved in hands on tasks from time to time.You will need to provide accurate and timely information on monthly basis to a variety of stakeholders within the finance community.

 

  • Supervise posting of approved purchase invoices.
  • Check and approve weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Check and approve all supplier reconciliations for trade.
  • Deal with purchase ledger queries, when escalated from purchase ledger administrators.
  • Produce a monthly timetable for shared services staff.
  • Manage members of staff who directly report.
  • Manage staff leave and sickness, ensuring the department is covered at all times.
  • Advise Maconomy system administrators of any issues, and help resolve where possible.
  • Other ad hoc tasks requested by financial controllers and finance director, including attending meetings in London and Croydon, covering WIP meetings and creating reports.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Good knowledge of excel
  • The candidate will understand good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also capable of working on own initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately complete tasks while meeting key deadlines.
