Job Details

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join the school.
This post would suit professionals seeking a new direction, maybe if you are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and also for  individuals with an experience of working with young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Instructing students in relation to work set by the absent teacher, including P.E. lessons.
  • Supervising students for the duration of the lesson and during whole school events and enrichment activities e.g. sports day, school trips.
  • Registering student attendance.
  • Managing behaviour.
  • Supervising students in after school detention
  • Carrying out administrative tasks inside and outside the classroom.
  • Exam invigilation.

Excellent communication, ICT and administrative skills are essential and proven experience of working with students aged 11-16 would be an advantage.
