EMEA Business Manager
Crawley, West Sussex
A fantastic opportunity has just become available for an EMEA Business Manager to join a globally established Aerospace company in the area of Crawley, West Sussex. The EMEA Business Manager will join their Information Management Services (IMS) Division, which advances information management solutions for commercial and military customers across the world, helping ensure passengers reach their destination safely.
Within the IMS Commercial Aviation and Networks Solutions (CANS) Business Unit they connect aviation community stakeholders and airlines with intelligent data service solutions to enable the connected aviation ecosystem. The EMEA Business Manager will report into the CANS Program Manager EMEA and is responsible for the business management of the complete service portfolio.
This roll will require extremely close collaboration with the CANS Project Delivery & Support Team to ensure the highest possible customer service.
On offer is a competitive salary up to £60,000 (negotiable D.O.E) & benefits package. This role also includes 30% annual travel within Europe (up to a maximum of 2 days).
Responsibilities of the EMEA Business Manager:
* Manage the Relationship Between the Business and the ANSP/ATN Customer Base in EMEA.
* Pipeline Management. Coordinate with the Product Manager to create and manage Annual Revenue and Profit targets.
* Pre-sales support. Support Sales to mine and bid opportunities in the region, including matrix team proposal management.
* Responsible for providing regional input into the Global AOP and SFP targets for each product line within your area of responsibility.
* The person is responsible and accountable for the delivery of AOP and SFP targets for the region for each product line within your area of responsibility.
* Drive high business growth by ensuring your organisation provides strong technical and commercial support to the business.
* Provide support for proposal development and pricing and recommend commercial propositions for approval to the EMEA CANS Commercial & Program Manager.
* Support the ANSP Product Line Manager on product roadmap that defines future development and investment. Must integrate with strategic and financial plan.
* Conduct quarterly and annual strategy reviews (must involve key stakeholders across the company from Avionics, Strategy, etc.).
* Coordinate with and agree timely resourcing with the Project Delivery Manager EMEA for the delivery of services and projects for the Commercial Aviation Business.
* Close collaboration with your peers in charge of the Americas and APAC Commercial Programs.
* Identify critical issues, or gaps in the service offering that could impede the continued success/growth and implement plans to fix them.
* Support regional market activities such as trade shows, conferences, training and public relations.
* Cultivates and maintains relationships. Builds cooperation and trust in teams.
* Initiative: Directs initiatives and is accountable to act on opportunities.
* Responsible for identifying, managing, and reporting on annual CAPEX Planning Requirements.
Required skillset and experience:
* Experienced in the Aviation Industry.
* Possesses a thorough understanding of the aviation communications, operations industry and governing body mandates.
* Good understanding of industry trends and competitors.
* Knowledge proficiency about the industry in particular ANSP and ATC
* Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project);
* Excellent customer oriented attitude
* Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills
* Strong interpersonal and people matrix management skills
* Typically requires BS/BA degree in financial, management and/or technical related discipline.
* Strong Business acumen coupled with the capability of analysing financial statements
* Possesses strong strategic, out of the box, critical and problem-solving thinker
* Team player (puts others first)
* Self-starter
