Contract type: Permanent, Full time, Monday – Friday 40hrs/week

The Role: To provide administrative support and be an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within our business.

Key Responsibilities:

The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company and may diversify across the accounts department. Current accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

* To verify and process all supplier invoices and credit notes following applicable procedure in specialised Hire and Sale software

* Matching and checking PODs, raising discrepancies with department managers and adding to the supplier query log

* Dealing and communicating with suppliers regarding purchase invoice queries and in order to resolve issues in a timely manner

* Checking and reconciling supplier statements

* Processing supplier payments

* Completing credit account applications to suppliers, following an external provider procedure in line with ISO standards

* Supplier risk management, including setting suppliers up on the system following review of completed forms and relevant documentation

* Maintaining appropriate records

* Accounts filing

* Ad hoc admin support (e.g. answering phones)

* Sorting incoming daily post

Sales Team, Contract Managers, Site Supervisors, Operations Managers and

Suppliers

Person Specification:

The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:

Essential:

An understanding of the working of an office environment

Desirable:

Relevant experience gained in any commercial area involving contact with suppliers would be preferable but not essential as full training will be given

Experience of accounts software preferable but full training will be given

Basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping preferable but not essential

Skills:

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* The ability to gain knowledge of the company’s products and services

* The ability to work well on your own and as part of a team

* Good organisational, planning and time management skills
