Quantity Surveyor

Contract Type - Permanent

Location - East Sussex

Salary - up to £65,000 plus package

Client: An Award Winning, Established Contractor founded over 20 Years ago. Current projects consisting of Residential, Commercial, Healthcare and Educational up to £150M throughout the Home Counties. This contractor have a focus on staff development and over the years have invested heavily into training and progressing their team.

Position: Seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage a new build D&B commercial scheme based from Head Office. You will report to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and duties will include:

Manage commercial resources to maximise margin through the placement of subcontractor contracts.
Control subcontract packages from enquiry through to final account.
Package management and change control.
Regularly review with the team contractual risks and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
Assessment of variations and valuations of subcontractor accounts.
Authorise placement of contracts, materials and plant orders.
Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement, negotiation, invoicing and payment of the supply chainRequirements

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor
HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying
Project experience in Commercial and/or Housing
Highly Organised
Good negoitation skills
