The job
As Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the safe operation of the wrap/packing machinery and applying shrink wrap, address labels and barcode labels to stacked pallets for safe and stable transportation of food products.
You will inspect equipment before the start of the shift, ensure machinery is loaded with correct packing materials, ensure correct labels applied products/pallets prior to dispatch, assist with stock loading/unloading, ensure required stock rotation is carried out, ensure accurate stock counting plus communicate any concerns or product quality issues to the Supervisor.
Your experience
You will be a well organised and hard working individual who ideally has some experience working in a packing or warehouse environment, most preferably working with food or beverages.
You will be logically minded, be able to accurately check incoming and outgoing goods plus have good prioritisation and team working skills. A forklift truck licence would be a big advantage. A driving licence and own transport are required due to site location.

The Warehouse Assistant job is based in the East Sussex region and is paying £18,000 pro rata. The role is initially a 3 month contract covering the busy Christmas period and could possibly lead to a permanent role.
There are several shift patterns available, between the hours of 6am – 8pm.
