Digital Marketing Executive

The Alexander Hotel Collection is a collection of five luxury hotels, in the 4 & 5-star market, based in the South of England. We are now looking to recruit a creative and dynamic Digital Marketing Executive who will look after content, storytelling, copy and e-campaigns specifically. Working alongside the Marketing Director and the rest of the marketing team, the role is primarily based in West Sussex with travel to each property on a regular basis and the potential of some home working.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality marketing, specifically e-mail and digital marketing, and will be a passionate content marketeer with the skill to create beautiful and engaging storylines. You will be a self-starter, have impeccable attention to detail, be able to manage your day and prioritise your most important tasks. You will be confident and have the ability to liaise with all stakeholders whilst also knowing where your time is most valuably spent, so prioritising the most important tasks as they come in. This is a busy and demanding role so forward planning is essential.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Create the content and story plan for all properties working with the wider marketing team
• Own and develop the engagement levels of our databases and personalisation of our content and digital experience
• Managing visual and copy content across the 5 hotels.
• Managing and maintaining the group’s website, including all daily management, updates and amendments.
• Create all email marketing campaigns, including content planning and collation.
• Liaise with the digital marketing assistant on the social media calendar, checking copy and tone
• Work with our digital agency to analyse website statistics and work to ensure the site is continually optimised
• Continually work on the Search Engine Optimization of the website(s) working with agency partners.
• Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns with our agency partner
• Oversee pay per click (PPC) and social ad management working our agency partner.
• Write and proof-read copy and optimise content for the website and social accounts
• Write blogs for the individual hotels and the hotel group
• Ensuring effective communication of digital marketing activity to all stakeholders to ensure they are effectively briefed and aware of activity

Requirements

This opportunity would suit someone with 1-2 years’ experience in email and digital marketing.

Essential experience:

• Skilled use of email marketing systems such as Mailchimp
• High level understanding of using CRM tools to increase personalisation and engagement
• Skilled use of website development tools such as Wordpress

Desirable experience:

• Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign
• Business Manager tools for Social Platforms
• Cendyn – Guest Folio
• E-commerce platforms (such as Gifted)

Specific key requirements for the role are;

• Creative Flair with strong editing and story-writing skills.
• Excellent levels of English in both written and verbal communication
• A self-starter with strong project management & organisational skills
• A good team player, who is eager to learn
• Innovative and passionate about digital marketing and guest experience.
