Plumbing Apprentice

SGL Plumbing & Heating are looking to recruit a Plumbing Apprentice to join their team. The main office is based in Pevensey however the company work all over Sussex covering towns such as Brighton, Eastbourne and Haywards Heath. 

The hours will either be 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday.

The successful apprentice will be shadowing the main engineer at the company.

The company are looking to recruit someone who would like to stay with the company long term, especially as they have just offered their last apprentice a full time job role. The company are looking to expand longer term to beyond their team of three.

If you can get daily to Pevensey then the employer will be able to drive you daily to the job.

As part of the apprenticeship you will study one day per week, at the Eastbourne Campus. The apprenticeship will last typically 24 months. 

Qualifications/certification achieved on completion:

• Apprenticeship Certificate (Pass)
• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE grade A-C or level 9-4) unless exempt
• Level 1 Functional Skills in ICT (equivalent to GCSE grade D-E or level 3-2) unless exempt

If you are offered this apprenticeship you will be invited to attend an Apprenticeship Induction Session, at East Sussex College. This will include all the information you need to know about the apprenticeship and then a Maths, English and ICT assessment to ensure that you are at a high enough level to complete the apprenticeship.
