Sales Engineer
Location: East Sussex area + client facing travel.
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + car allowance + bonus £ structure.
Contract: Full time, permanent.
The Business, located in East Sussex is a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of premium quality geotechnical and structural monitoring instrumentation. For more than 50 years, we have played a critical role in major construction projects across the globe including civil engineering, mining, railway and road infrastructures.
Currently looking to recruit a geotechnical sales engineer to maintain existing accounts and to seek new business opportunities in UK
Role Responsibilities:
• Identify and establish new business opportunities
• Responsibility for achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Producing weekly/monthly forecasting data
• Cold calling/lead generation and prospecting
• Fast and effective handling of telephone, email and web generated enquiries in line with local KPIs
• Disciplined follow-up of enquiries and proposals
• Traveling to and liaising with existing and new customers
• Managing and interpreting customer requirements
• Recording and maintaining customer contact data
• Providing product and technical advice to customers
Qualifications:
• Sales professional with at least 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, geotechnical or structural monitoring industry preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical/electronic devices is essential
• Self-motivator who is comfortable operating autonomously, yet within Company guidelines.
• Ability to relate well to people, especially other engineers and customers of various nationalities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiating skills with professional image.
• Ability to travel.
• Full valid driving license is required.
• Strong computer skills with modern business software tools (CRM, MRP, MS Office).
