  • Medical, nursing and therapeutic care provided to over 9,000 children and adults a day

We are seeking an experienced Property Surveyor to manage the delivery of our ambitious estates strategy proposals in relation to our 130+ property and premises interests, both owned and leased, across both East and West Sussex, and including Brighton and Hove.

Reporting directly to the Head of Property and Premises and then to the Associate Director (Asset Management), you will deputise for the Head of Property and Premises, and be responsible for day-to-day management of SCFT's numerous property and premises interests.

The post holder will be responsible for managing and reviewing existing leases, licences, tenancies-at-will and ad-hoc property and premises arrangements. They will also negotiate appropriate new property and premises arrangements, enabling the provision of high quality accommodation for patients, staff, visitors, carers and users of SCFT services.

You will be responsible for managing targets relating to property and premises management for SCFT: implementing cost improvement and other key estate management metrics, creating action plans to ensure targets are met, and developing reporting processes in line with local and national requirements.

We're looking for a skilled property professional with an in-depth understanding of current estates and premises issues, and a strong track record of implementing effective and integrated strategies within a large, complex organisation.

Experience of the health sector would be an advantage, as would consultancy experience. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to forge effective partnerships at all levels to achieve common goals. You should be equally comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders as you are working with frontline staff to drive change.

If you are passionate about making a difference and believe you have what it takes to develop the Trust's estate, property and premises portfolio to the next level, please get in touch.

This post may close earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Please ensure that you check your emails on a regular basis. References will be requested electronically also; please ensure you provide correct contact details for referees.
