There is an exciting opportunity for a 6 month short term contract working in Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust's West Sussex Falls Prevention Teams. This is to enable a Falls Prevention Covid-19 Response Programme with West Sussex County Council to start in September / October 2020.
Posts are being offered both full and part-time and will be based at Horsham, Worthing or Chichester.
The Falls Technicians will help deliver evidence based falls prevention interventions throughout the programme and undertake telephone / video initial assessments for lower level of risk / complexity patients. Assessments will also be carried out in patient's homes, face to face, examining strength and balance, home hazards / environment as well as taking a set of patient observations (BP, heart rate, temp etc.). The Falls Technicians will also provide and progress home exercise programmes.
Staff will either already be Otago / equivalent trained or be prepared to undertake this training in October or November 2020. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
This is a demanding but enjoyable role, which will give the successful applicant(s) the opportunity to develop their career in falls prevention and rehabilitation.
