Responsibilities

• To test linear accelerators and their associated sub-assemblies to the required quality standards within the allocated test time as per the relevant Production Test Schedule (PTS)
• To create and maintain machine documentation in accordance with published procedures and work instructions, including PTS results sheets and Device History Record (DHR) data
• To fault find problems and where necessary replace and retest non-conforming parts
• To ensure adequate control and disposition of non-conforming material and provide the necessary documentation, using the NCR process
• To maintain a clean and safe working environment, taking responsibility for tools, equipment, test bay and any product being tested
• Participate and contribute to the DQT process
• Carry out necessary duties for the benefit, maintenance and progression of the test department such as 5S audits, Lean activities, assisting with equipment calibration, training of new engineers (if qualified to do so) and representing the department in meetings
• Assist other functions within the business such as production, Systems Test, spares, service or training as directed by the Mfg Manger – Systems Test. This could include the need to assist with testing products, fault finding, assisting other departments or personnel and possibly a need to work off site including outside of the UK

Authorities

• Confirmation that the product being tested meets the PTS
• Raise and manage NCR’s and Concessions as required

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies

• HNC/HND in Electronics/Mechanics based subject or equivalent
• Ability to understand and operate complex systems equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to fault find complex systems equipment at both component and machine level
• Experience in any of the following fields would be beneficial –
