We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced teaching assistant to start in a SEN Trainee Teacher role. You will be joining a lovely SEN school, based in the Horsham area, on a full time and permanent basis. The school caters for students aged 6-25 with Autism, Speech and Language difficulties as well as learning disabilities. The school will enrol you on a one-year qualification in behaviour analysis and CABAS teaching. It is therefore essential that you have experience and knowledge around Autism to be suitable for this role. You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment working with students 1:1 or in small class sizes. Please note that the working hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 4.30pm (Tuesday to 5.30pm). The position is not suitable for part time.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing the support and care for the students throughout their school day

* Take part in extracurricular and off-site activities with students during school hours

* Interact in lessons to support the student’s engagement

* Teach students 1:1 when required

* Support the student’s development of independence and positive behaviour

* Participating in weekly CPD for your personal development
