Business Development Executive for successful and expanding Consultancy engineering firm. This is a great opportunity for a capable business development / sales executive with the right attitude to make an impact. The executive will come from an engineering design environment (such as FEA, FEM, Structural Analysis, CAD) and so be highly capable of uncovering client problems & lead in the technical team where they provide solutions.

* Work with existing leads with engineering manufacturing firms across the UK and Europe

* Speak to potential customers – understand their problems and uncover issues

* Sell the service of the consultancy and pass on to technical team

* Follow through to conclusion

* Pick up new leads by utilising existing company network, canvassing and meeting clients (over Teams / Zoom and F2F when possible)

* Follow a structured sales process to ensure the maximum is achieved from each lead

* Sell both domestically and European wide. Languages skills with English critical. Any Mandarin, Spanish, German and / or French a bonus

* Work in conjunction with the CEO in assisting with sales forecast and pipeline

* Market analysis and trends measurement

* Use acumen and common sense to help penetrate new market areas and make knowledge available to the team & management


* Educated to HND or degree level

* Sound grasp of engineering market – ideally coming from a technical engineering environment (Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, Aviation, Alternative Energy)

* Minimum 6yrs commercial experience

* Excellent written and spoken English skills (additional languages a plus but not essential)

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Self-motivator with good time management skills.

* Self-starter with excellent attitude and driven to success as a team

* Ability to liaise and communicate effectively throughout all levels in an organisation

* Ambitious

* Driven

Additional qualifications and training in business or sales highly advantageous.

Must be comfortable using engineering technical jargon.

* Bonus (uncapped commission scheme) expected 1st year package to £100k
