An outstanding primary SEN school in the Caterham area is currently recruiting for a passionate and resilient SEN teaching assistant to join their passionate team. The students are diagnosed with Autism, EBD and general learning disabilities and aged 11-16. You will take part in their creative curriculum such as community trips, art, cooking and life skills. The students can display challenging behaviour and it is therefore essential that you have experience dealing with this as well as having resilience. The position is full time with immediate start.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing the support and care for the students throughout their school day

* Interact in lessons to support the student’s engagement

* Teach students 1:1 when required

* Support the student’s development of independence and positive behaviour

* Participating in weekly CPD for your personal development

* Ability to see development and positive progress in every student no matter ability
