Full time

Our client based in Brighton is looking to recruit an experienced Surveyors' Secretary. This is an exciting opportunity to provide professional support to the building, construction and property management sectors. Providing admin support to their Surveyors who regularly undertake building condition surveys, design and contract management, dilapidations, insurance reinstatement, party wall advice and property management issues.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, numerate and interpersonal, joining a hard-working team who place a strong emphasis on providing outstanding service, tailored to a variety of clients.

Responsibilities

Responding to telephone and email enquiries - taking messages accurately and passing to the correct person.
Diary management.
Word processing and collating correspondence and other documents from audio / digital dictation, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately.
Production of reports including tables with photos, letters, memoranda and file notes.
Working as part of a team to ensure that effective and continual secretarial service is provided to surveyors.
Ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.
General administrative duties, including petty cash, post and banking.Requirements

The ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and confidentially.
Excellent written, numerical and communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Speed, accuracy and an eye for detail.
Excellent organisational skills.
The ability to work on their own initiative and to tight deadlines
Excellent IT skills, including an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Office packages, experience of document management systems and e-filing.
Experience of typing documents following audio dictation.
Experience with the surveying and/or construction industry would be an advantage.
Have a positive, flexible, 'can do' attitude
